Analytical solutions to some surge- tank problems

An examination of three different cases of surge- tank operation. The range of analytical solutions is extended, and the need for a computer solution is avoided in the cases examined. The water level is expressed relative to the initial level, and to regard the movement as positive, whether it is up or down.
