The scattering of a superwideband pulse in an impedance angular region is analyzed on the basis of the known solution of the diffraction problem at a wedge in the case of harmonic excitation using the frequency method. The unique features of the diffraction of pulses of different types are explained. The influence of the electrophysical and geometrical parameters of the wedge, the sounding and observation conditions, as well as the sounding signal spectrum on the shape and energy of the diffraction pulse is determined. A frequency-time method is tested for investigating the effect of the type of time dependence of the sounding pulse on the field scattering.
