Power devices of the automation systems for power installations and their parameters

Classification on electric machines used as power executive units (PU) of automatic regulation systems for power installations is given. Technical requirements posed for these machines are listed. The characteristics defining the operation of power units of automation systems under the control by the power amplifier are considered. The functional (structural) scheme of the PU is presented and the sequence of logical and computational operations for their designing is proposed.
