Mitsubishi Electric manufacturers both shell-form and core-form transformers, and provides transformer equipment that fully satisfies customer specifications. We have supplied power transformers in about 60 countries, for a total cumulative power capacity of 500 million kva. Models that marked major advances in voltages and capacities include a 500kv transformer produced in 1966 and power transformers in the 1,200MVA class for power stations produced in 1975. Development of ultrahigh voltage transformers has been completed, and several 800kv models were delivered in 1982.
