Norke Skog is the second largest supplier of newsprint in the world and considered as the most dominant in the Norwegian pulp and paper market. It has sold over 20 units with activities outside the core area of wood containing printing paper. Its capacity for newsprint and magazine paper increased from 3.3 to 5.8 million tons in year 2000. Norske Skog is expecting relatively good 2001 with increased newsprint demand and stable market balance.
