A dynamic dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration control algorithm is developed that can enhance the formation rate of torpedo-stage embryos. The algorithm is based on the difference in the response of somatic embryo development to variations in DO levels during the different developmental stages. It was found that the variations in DO levels had no effect on the total number of embryos produced.
