The task of the present study was to investigate the thermodynamic partial and also integrated properties of K2O-SiO2 melts using an emf method at temperatures of 700-1200°C. The results obtained are compared with both the thermodynamic data for potassium silicate melts currently in the literature. Significant negative deviations have been observed from ideal behavior because of the effects of different compounds.
