摘要:
The CCITT Specification and Description Language (SDL) has been widely used in communications software design because of its visual and understandable form. While several tools for use in a part of SDL, for example, analyzers for state transition diagrams, have been developed, few tools for utilizing the total SDL concept have been provided. This paper presents an improved design method and integrated tools, the designer's work environment, for communications software design to enable designers to utilize the SDL concept, aiming not only at protocol design but at the total design steps in communications system development.
