摘要
A procedure for detecting man-made objects in a natural background from the infrared and visible images was presented, in which, the fractal structure was employed to model the natural background, and the intrinsic difference in the fractal characters between the man-made objects and the natural background was utilized to identify the man-made objects. The method of adaptive enhancement for fractal features and the image detection method were introduced and discussed, besides, several experimental results on the practical images were presented to show the effectiveness of the above procedure.
