摘要
The field ionization yield above the saddle point energy of nitrogen oxide was analyzed in a strong electric field. The two-channel competition of autoionization and predissociation of the NO molecules in presence of electric field was presented. It was found that the ratio between the two-channels changes from zero to infinity at the zero-ionization threshold. The core-dependent autoionization rate dictated the ionization yield spectrum in a unique way. It revealed that field ionization can be used as a clock for total core-dependent decay.
