This paper presents an efficient method of planning the operation of simple and coupled power systems for both public and industrial supply with the help of computerized mathematical models. Modelling itself is simple and independent of the source of energy, and forms the basis for meeting the objectives of an optimal operation (e. g. minimizing the fuel costs).
