Zener-Stroh crack is formed via coalescing dislocations piled up against an obstacle such as an interface of bimaterial. The crack is loaded by the total number of dislocations entered it, while the well-known Griffith crack is loaded by the stress traction acting on the crack surfaces. In the present paper, a Zener-Stroh crack at the interface of an anisotropic elastic bimaterial is formulated with recent improvements in two dimensional anisotropic elasticity and interfacial Griffith crack. Many interesting features of the Zener-Stroh crack are drawn from the present study and compared with those of the Griffith crack.
