INTERACTIVE VIDEOTEX, A NEW DIMENSION IN TEXT AND DATA COMMUNICATION.

Currently being discussed, or actually under test in a number of European countries is a public videotex service, which will allow telephone subscribers and TV users interactive access to a number of data banks. This article shows how the services and networks which exist at present for the transmission of telegrams, telex messages, facsimiles and data could later be augmented by using the private videotex networks for the transmission of text, graphics and data.
