Certain problems connected with the thermodynamics of the process and with the kinetics of interphase mass transport during extraction with organic solvents are considered. These problems include deviations from ideality in the organic phase of extraction systems, allowing for nonideality of the organic phase when describing equilibrium, special features of the extraction kinetics of inorganic materials, interphase processes accompanying chemical reactions, and certain problems of interphase-reaction kinetics.
