摘要
A unique flatness control technique applies tension distribution control at the exit side of the stand by affecting lateral metal flow in the roll bite to compensate for transverse variation in strip elongation. The method involves vertical lift obtained by inclining two short-length rollers. Fundamental studies and results from a tandem mill operation are described. Angulation can be controlled by 3% compared with 1% for conventional roll bending.
