摘要
The paper presents a review of those elastic-plastic constitutive laws which are currently being employed to model large strain phenomena in metals at ordinary temperatures. For applications involving proportional or nearly proportional stress histories, the competing plasticity theories do not in general give results that differ substantially. It is when the deviations from proportional loading become significant that their respective qualitative predictions begin to show striking differences. This is particularly evident in analytical investigations of necking and localization in metals.
