Structure factors in liquid aluminum were measured around 750 C, using thermal neutron scattering, and compared with the hard core structure factor. The static double distribution function for liquid aluminum was determined by Fourier transformation, and the coordinate number for nearest neighbors was calculated. The hard-core model was then used for approximation calculations of such transport coefficients as the coefficients of diffusion and viscosity.
