In 1980, a diesel engine-driven 6. 5 mw total energy system was commissioned at the Amsterdam University Hospital, Academisch Ziekenhuis bij de Universiteit van Amsterdam (AZUA). This heavy fuel burning power station is equipped with two SWDiesel type 6 TM 410 diesel engine generator sets, each unit having an output of 3. 25 mw. This article presents a review of the performance and operations of the AZUA station.
