Reduction of solvent emissions will force a change away from conventional solvent coatings used in the aircraft industry. A polyurethane colloidal dispersion with aziridine cross-linker, an experimental epoxy curing agent and experimental amine functional water soluble acrylic were evaluated as water-borne coatings. Improved physical properties in the current systems will be necessary before acceptable.
