摘要
The glass mold consists of four identical sections and is secured on its external conical surface by a ring and on the inside by a base plate and pins. These parts have no unfinished surfaces. The manufacturing technology for the cast blanks is discussed. The cores of the top and bottom of the quarters of the press mold are made from a mixture of sand and water glass is outlined. In order to eliminate deformation of the sand and water-glass support for the core, heat treatment is carried out at 400-420 degree C for 8-10 h. The experimental glass molds made from accurately cast blanks successfully passed the tests on the mechanical glass production line at the Bretsk Electric Lamp Plant. An increase in the accuracy of the ceramic-treated molds should make it possible to extend the field of their effective application. They can be used in the manufacture of complex demountable glass-molding tools made from accurately cast blanks.
