摘要：
The behavior of a colored drop of liquid falling vertically down into the still liquid is observed by the high-speed camera. The height of splash of the impact and the vortex rings in the liquid are observed in three cases: water to water, water to oil and oil to oil. The splash heights in the case of oil to oil were about 2/3 of those in the case of water to water, at the falling heights ranging from 5 cm to 200 cm. The formation of vortex ring or rings in the liquid is seen clearly everytime.
