Results of a survey of semiconductor industry professionals are evaluated. A questionnaire asked readers to tell, among other things, their 1984 and 1985 salaries. The results show that the industry's average salary has risen 14. 7% since January 1984. Several relevant tables are presented which provide information age distribution, educational level, length of experience, job function, compensation, etc.
