摘要
Description of 150 ton/day recycling plant that recovers paper fibers and metals with conventional paper industry equipment. The unit operations involved are nearly all mechanical. Solid waste is converted into a water slurry, which is then separated into various components by centrifugation and selective screening. Additional separations are effected by magnetic separation. Nonrecoverable organic matter is burned for energy. Plant accepts all municipal garbage indiscriminately.
