Data concerning the influence of the structure of asymmetric monomers and monomers with bulky substituents on the structure and physicochemical properties of polycondensation polymers are compiled and analysed. The influence of the chemical structure of the monomers on the course of copolycondensation and the microstructure of the resulting macromolecules is explained. © 1979 The Chemical Society and The British Library.
