摘要：
The surface characteristics of the pavement determine traffic safety, riding comfort, environmental protection, energy saving as well as pavement and vehicle protection. The present report deals with the possibilities of measures and methods to produce high-quality pavement surfaces with an effective lifetime as long as possible. It shows the actual research activities for the important derived characteristics, tire/road noise and skid resistance.
