摘要
The high integration of printed circuit boards demands an improvement in precision and efficiency of drilling. Test boards were experimentally drilled up to 10,000 hits by 0. 5 and 1. 0 mm dia. miniature drills peculiar to Kobe Steel. The results are: 1) Work heat influenced surface roughness and epoxy smear, so drills with narrow margin in width and deep body clearance are indispensable. 2) As the decrease in cutting resistance improved the precision of the hole-center position, high cutting speed and low feed speed are recommended.
