摘要
The effectiveness of hardener action was estimated from the change of tensile strength of the fibers after formation of polymethylphenylsiloxane coatings on their surface. The values of the relative tensile strength ( DELTA ** sigma **/** sigma t. init) multiplied by (times) 100% are given. It is seen from the data that with the use of KO-08 and KO-915 lacquers and tetrabutoxytitanium hardener the greatest strengthening effect is obtained with 10% of lacquer and 1% of hardener in the composition. Increase of the content of lacquer or hardener in the coatings lowers fiber strength. Attempts to use tetraethoxysilane as hardener for polymethylphenylsiloxane lacquers were unsuccessful. Formation of polymethylphenylsiloxane coatings with the use of hardeners, (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (AGM-9) and (6-aminohexyl)aminomethyltriethoxysilane (AGM-3), individually or jointly with tributoxytitanium, on glass fibers raises the tensile strength of the fibers by 50-70%.
