摘要
Disk drives store data on magnetic ″phonograph records″ and access this data through read/write heads that ″fly″ above the recording surface. Encountering microscopic particles could spell disaster in the form of ″head crash″ . The purpose of this paper is to show how designers guard against such accidents. A representative air flow system is described.
