A new gun design utilizes the main air supply for atomizing the paint, shaping the spray pattern of the atomized material and for operating a self-contained ElectroGasDynamics power generator for charging the coating material and for maintaining an electrostatic depositing field. Illustrations are used to define EGD operating principles and a typical installation of the system.
