摘要
On construction jobs requiring overhead access, a self-propelled aerial work platform can be a cost-effective, efficient way to transport workers and tools to the work area. The four major types of aerial work platforms are scissorlift, articulated, telescopic boom, and telescopic articulated boom. This article, focuses on the latter two types because they are more effective for construction site use. They have excellent vertical and horizontal reach capabilities and often can get to overhead areas that other means of access can't reach. Because the reach capabilities of telescopic and telescopic articulated booms differ, the type of boom chosen depends on overhead access needs and jobsite conditions.
