In some vaults containing telemetering transmitters and pressure-regulating valves, air may become stagnant and sometimes unsafe to breathe. Water District Number 1 of Johnson County, Kansas has devised a boxed blower with suction and discharge ports built into the sides to remove stagnant air from vaults. © 1981 American Water Works Association.
