The BHASKARA Satellite was launched on June 7, 1979 for earth observations using a TV camera and a microwave radiometer. A triaxial magnetometer was one of the direction finding instruments (attitude sensor) used in this satellite. The magnetic sensor is described. The principle of the flux-gate magnetometer, circuit details, test and calibration are explained. Finally, the flight performance of the sensor is presented.
