A description is given of the new mobile equipment for land mobile pay telephone system, which offers new mobile telephone service over an extensive area for passengers on bus and taxi. This equipment consists of a mobile radio unit, which transmits and receives wireless signal containing charge control signal, a pay telephone set, which contains charge processing system for coins, and a connecting unit which mutually connects these two units. In this mobile equipment, high charge processing reliability was attained by the new charge control signal method, based on double sequence and the coin processing mechanism suited for a mobile environment.
