The problem of designing a thermal diagram that would be identical regarding its basic structure and composition of its complementary equipment for both the VVER-1000 and VVER-2000 nuclear power plant units with light water reactors, is considered. Optimal parameters of the second loop are roughly determined for the VVER-2000 power plant units.
