This article briefly surveys the most common casting materials used by today's builder. Particular reference is made to the casting alloys in which Belgium's S. A. Sulzer Freres specializes: spheroidal graphite cast iron, corrosion-resisting refractory cast steel, aluminum-bronze. 10 refs.
