摘要：
The first and most essential requirement of a compressed air system is that it should be adequately filtered. The main contaminants to be removed are water, solid particles and perhaps in some instances oil. These are eliminated from the system by filtration. The article discusses each of these contaminants and various types of filters to remove them.
