摘要
The article presents basic design measures introduced in a new range of turret lathes and aimed at improving machining accuracy. Tests of experimental lathes of different type-sizes have shown that these measures made it possible to produce turrett lathes of the P accuracy class that can machine to Class 2 of accuracy. Stiffness of individual units and of joints is considered in planes having the greatest influence on machine accuracy. It was established that the locating accuracy of turrets in whcih gear rings are employed as the locating element is 3 - 4 times higher as compared with the locating accuracy of turrets with a horizontal axis of rotation.
