For the nuclear spectroscopic studies of short-lived nuclei produced by a research reactor, a multicounter goniometer for gamma - gamma angular correlation measurements, a pneumatic irradiation apparatus on line with a measurement system and an on-line isotope separator facility have hitherto been developed at KURRI. Features of these apparatus and of similar ones constructed at other laboratories are reviewed. Main experimental results so far obtained at KURRI are briefly described.
