摘要
Advantages of using processed, pelleted wood as a coal substitute in boiler furnaces equipped to fire coal with mechanical stokers are discussed. The Army and the Air Force tested wood pellets in quantities ranging from 40 to 120 tons in a variety of boilers at several installations during 1979 and 1980. Results of the tests are presented.
