Application of the time domain approach to the transient response problem for a class of sheet antenna structures is considered. The particular class of antenna structures includes the TEM horn and the log periodic inclined plane sheet antenna as members. Numerical determination of the time domain radiated field response of these directional antennas as transmitters of short pulse electromagnetic radiation is the ultimate goal. Any rectangular patch model for the antenna defines a set of current interaction coefficients which can be evaluated and stored for later use in numerical solutions of the time response problem.
