Grey scale in surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal display

摘要：
The grey scale display in multidomain surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal (SSFLC) structure is observed and the transmittance-voltage dependence in SSFLC pixel is measured. The influences of the RC constant of conductive glass and the duration of the selective pulse on the response waveforms are discussed. By analyzing the various waveforms, the mechanism underlying this kind of grey scale is presented.
