This information represents a revised version of the booklet, TEXTILE FIBERS AND THEIR PROPERTIES, originally published by Burlington Industries (copyright 1970) and is issued with their permission. The article identifies the various fibers, gives the principal trade names of man-made fibers, and offers basic technical data on the primary natural fibers and the generic groups of man-made fibers. Much of the information is based on material supplied by individual fiber producers. A. A. T. T. accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information presented.
