摘要：

Work was carried out to determine the utility of newly available instruments in contributing to the understanding of the mechanism of flammability. Correlation in results were pointed out in different test methods. Tests showed that fabrics of cotton, polyester and their blends can produce extremely high density smoke. The density can vary with the flame retardant applied.
