摘要：
Planned unit capacities of thermal and nuclear power plants in japan are being increased from the former 600 or 700 Mw to 1000 or 1100 Mw or as high as 1500 Mw. This trend in increased unit capacities of steam turbines is discussed and results are presented of research on problems related to the bucket and the rotor, as well as on the various phenomena involving large bearings.
