Integrated Modeling is a methodology that synthesizes the functional, physical, performance, and managerial designs of a system. It makes use of Quality Function Deployment, real time structured methods, and metrics to produce linked and checkable system designs. Integrated Modeling is an outgrowth of experience in applying structured methodologies to avionics systems. This paper describes the application of Integrated Modeling to a simplified radar warning receiver. This study grew out of a larger re-engineering study of a major avionics system. This case study simplifies the system, but explicitly integrates the performance, functional, and physical projections of the system. © 1993 The Authors.
