The authors describe the construction and the technical characteristics of the ursamar 5001 automation device system produced by KEAW/VEB Wetron Weida and show, how for the microcomputer-based feedback controller generally programmed in a fixed way, a versatile application software can be generated by means of the special programming language MARCO, using modules of a module library as well as special modules. In this way, the ursamar 5001 system becomes a universal and low-priced control device.
