Incorporating the superior gas recombination design provisions of the nickel-hydrogen system, an advanced sealed nickel-cadmium cell design has evolved which offers improved performance characteristics. The advanced design will permit utilization of high stability inorganic separator materials, will recombine both oxygen and hydrogen gas on overcharge and will operate with high levels of electrolyte.
