摘要
There are indications that the earlier vents are opened the more likely they are to be effective in preventing smoke-logging of a sprinklered building. All the work so far carried out has indicated that the beneficial effects of venting outweigh any possible side effects on the operation of sprinklers. However, it is essential for venting to be installed as a properly engineered system in conjunction with the sprinklers and comprising reliable roof vents sited with due regard for wind effects, etc. , suitable means for control and operation of the vents, roof screens when necessary and adequate inlets for fresh air again sited with due regard for wind effects.
