摘要
A modified Gibbs-Thomson-Freundlich equation is applied to determine rates of individual particle growth neither molar volume changes nor matrix stresses are important. Revised expressions are obtained which reduce to the accepted theory in the limits of pure diffusion or interface control and large average particle size. The revised theory may offer advantages for the early stages of coarsening when the particles are very small.
