As part of the activities of the Istituto Autonomo Case Popolari of Terni regarding the utilization of renewable energy sources, the possibility of ″solarizing″ a whole district in Terni, which will soon be realized was studied and analyzed. In this paper the main conclusions of the study are presented, with particular reference to planning criteria and the methods used, both under a technical and economic aspect. The results of analyses of the thermal performance of the solar installation, carried out with dynamic simulation methods on a computer are presented.
